Yes, it's true fall has always been my favorite season.  It's not that I don't like the other seasons as I feel each one brings something special to savor and celebrate, but fall I do like most of all. There is just something about the combination of the changing colors, the scent of warm autumnal spices, crisp morning air, cozy sweaters, hot apple cider, sipping wine by a crackling outdoor firepit, the way a freshly sharpened pencil brings back memories of the excitement of the first day of school, and oh so much more.

Obviously, the list goes on. It is no wonder why I find fall to be the absolute best time to explore wine country.  It is a wonderful excuse to venture into new regions. Winding along leaf covered back roads that lead to stunning tasting rooms where I just might discover a new favorite wine.  This is when I like to stock my wine cellar with delightful new finds for the coming holiday celebrations and get togethers. It's also when I find the need to replenish my supply of white and rose wines that have been plundered amid all the summer shenanigans.
