When was the last time you tried something new?
So many of us wake up at the same time every day, eat the same thing for breakfast, rotate through the same clothes in a certain order, eat lunch from one of the same three places, and watch the same shows day after day. It's no wonder so many of us feel "stuck" in a life rut. Experts have been preaching the importance of trying new experiences for decades. In fact, there are many positive benefits of trying something new, including revving up social and cognitive engagement, stimulating creativity and simply making you more interesting among other benefits.
Funny enough though, we find that so many wine country visitors go to the same tasting rooms every time they visit- over and over and over expecting something different! There is nothing wrong with having a couple of favorites- we totally get it. But if you find yourself in a rut and could use a little mental refresh, wine country provides the perfect opportunity to break from your comfort zone and try something new, something different to get those brain cells humming. Haven't tried a particular varietal yet? Venture into a different wine region that's known for it and learn everything you can about that wine before your trip and during your tastings.
Perhaps you tend to stick to standard "belly-up-to-the-bar tastings only. You'd be surprised how affordable a formal, seated tasting can be when you jump off the main roads and into one of our hidden gems. Explore all the different types of experiences available; from vineyard treks, to production tours, to blending, to verticals- skies the limit on CellarPass. Just make sure on your next trip, book an experience that is new to you- and a property that you've never been. We know you will be pleasantly surprised at what you find.
Some of our favorites experiences include music & wine pairing, goat yoga in the vineyard (bahhh!), sip & paint, chef led garden to table tour & lunch and even a harvest experience where we picked, crushed and punched down grapes to get a sample of the winemaking process. Don't worry we were rewarded with an phenomenal wine pairing lunch afterward.
Make your next visit to wine country more memorable and exciting by exploring a new region, booking a new tasting room or trying unique experiences.
