As many of you, like us, have seen the news coverage over the weekend showing the devastating images from the wildfires destroying thousands of homes and businesses in Napa, Solano and Sonoma counties. The fire has scorched over 140,000 acres in less than 4 days, completely wiping out neighborhoods. The fires moved so swiftly, that many victims left with just the clothes they were wearing before they had to abandon their homes.
With so little time to pack before leaving their homes behind, not knowing if they'll come back to anything, they also had to make the life-or-death decision to leave their pets, animals and livestock to fend for themselves.
With some many close friends and family members effected by the fire, CellarPass took immediate steps to help. We reached out to many of the organizations to find out how we can help and what we learned was that there was great need for pet crates, food and foster homes are needed for the lost or injured animals.
Our goal is raise money to help reunite families with their beloved pets, get the needed help to the ranchers to transport their livestock and provide and cover costs for the medical attention the animals may require to get them back on happy trails once again.
All funds collected will be donated directly to Wine Country Animal Lovers. The team of WCAL have been working tirelessly on the front lines aiding the people and animals that are affected by this devastating disaster.
