Santa Rosa, CA
An idyllic twenty-acre Biodynamic estate producing exceptional single vineyard Pinot Noirs, Zinfandels and Chardonnays that spotlight the exceptional terroir and personality that have come to define the Russian River Valley.
In 2003, DeLoach Vineyards was purchased by the Boisset Family from Burgundy, France, when Jean-Charles Boisset fell in love with the Russian River Valley on his first visit to the area. He immediately recognized the similarities between Sonoma County and Burgundy: each boast a confluence of river, mountains, and soil that is perfect for growing world-class Pinot Noir. A recognized authority on biodynamic, organic, and sustainable winemaking, the Boisset Family use these eco-friendly practices in their estate vineyards in Burgundy and understand the positive effects they have on the health of the land and the quality of the wine. In 2004 the family brought that vision here to DeLoach Vineyards. Showing our dedication to the environment, we took out award-winning, highly-lauded vineyards and replanted with cover crops designed to revitalize the soil. New vines were planted in 2006, and the first vintage grown with biodynamic farming techniques was the stunning 2010 vintage. Now, we continue to produce world-class wine by partnering with winegrowers who are equally dedicated and passionate about their vineyards and the environment.
I like a fruit forward wine. Compared to the other wineries who’s wines I tasted these wines fell short. They were drinkable but not totally to my taste.
Our host was very friendly and knowledgeable.
DeLoach has beautiful grounds & good wine. They have a wonderful garden as well. The service was fine but not spectacular. The picnic basket included cheeses, salami & crackers, along with a bottle of wine. We were hoping for more of a lunch basket as we did the wine tour & tasting first, so we were a little disappointed. They do have beautiful grounds, nice tables & seating areas, & good wine!
I would highly recommend the picnic lunch for 2. We had our own special spot out on the garden and totally enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and of course the amazing wines!!!
Mother, daughter day. First wine tasting experience for my newly 21 year old daughter. It was everything I had hoped her first experience would be. She loved learning about the wines and our host was so knowledgable. The wines were great and the cheese plate perfect for the tasting. We have a lovely time and will definitely return. Thank you!
When we arrived there was a special event happening in the guest house this day 9/29/2018, we were hoping to do the tasting in the guest house as it is more attractive than the old tasting room. This was not a big deal to me. The wine are exceptional as always and we have a number of staff assist us. The service is always on par.
We had a great experience. Deb was our server and she is always special.
We hosted friends and every detail was perfect. Our hostess, Debbie was very knowledgeable and accommodating. She offered a taste of the new Cider
and it was very well received. The setting and surrounding gardens are magnificent. We really enjoyed the Reisling and Ritchie Chardonnay. I even indulged in a piece of JCB jewelry and received my member savings. I will return again soon and bring a pic
The quality of the wines, the presentation, the property and the professionalism of the staff were all five star. I'm not a joiner of wine clubs- I always try to be independent and do my own thing- but the quality of the single vineyard pinots was so good that I couldn't pass up the 'club deal". Great stuff!
It was fine. I didn't do the experience that this review is about -- I just did an "estate tasting". The sommelier was knowledgeable and the property was lovely. I wandered around a bit and looked at the gardens. I appreciated that there wasn't a hard sell.
Lovely, relaxing setting - as you find with most "JCB" wineries. Dog-friendly - a big plus for me.
Have been a member for I believe 5 years and work in industry in events. The grounds are lovely, the house beautiful, the service and friendliness of the staff exceptional. Jackson , he is no longer there, but the last two times Amanda , absolutely wonderful. Made the experience fun as well as imparting professional info . Alicia in customer service the best. Thank you Carol Lynn Weston
We had the back court yard/ pool area to our selves and it was a great time. We enjoyed the flight in perfect timing.
My three daughters and I did the blending experience. It was a lot of fun, educational, and we each ordered extra bottles so we could try each others wine at home. We were greeted warmly by the young lady in the tasting room - things were running later for our blending experience, and she immediately poured wine for us and chatted about the wine, the winery, etc - she was great!
Loved the opportunity to taste some amazing wine and learning more about the winery. Would recommend a visit to anyone interested in learning more about wines.
I don't know if their tours are always private, but it was just me and my husband and we loved the personalized experience. Pedro was an amazing host as he took us around the beautiful property, explained their organic and biodynamic practices, and took the time to answer all of our questions. Our tasting was accompanied by a cheese plate and charcuterie for an instructive pairing experience.
DeLoach Vineyards tasting area fronts onto a beautiful produce garden which we were able to explore. Our tasting for 10 was set up on a table on a lawn area in front of this. The staff was very friendly, and knowledgeable, and our tasting host, Pedro, was superb. The wines were wonderful - we especially loved the pinot noirs, but the chardonnays were also wonderful. Thanks DeLoach!
This vineyard is quality, excellence, and organic. They are about the earth, the health of the land, the health of their harvest, and the quality of the wine. Their tour is very educational and enjoyable. I've never learned so much about what goes into wine making on any other wine tour I've taken. It was a lovely atmosphere.
We enjoyed the estate tour very much.
Reception went poorly. No notice of reservation although I showed her our copy of reservation. No service initially, but ultimately new person assigned to provide us information and service. Not the most knowledgeable.
We had a wonderful time at DeLoach pizza day. Our guests enjoyed the wine and pizza and the gardens too. Always a great day when we go to DeLoach Vineyards.
Amazing as always! Jackson is one of your best & many others follow close by! I had opportunity to meet Debbie too, how hospitable!! Great experience to bring my BFF, daughter (experienced lobster fest w/me last year, loved it!) and her boyfriend, first timer to DeLoach, loved it! Brought home extra wine & 2 special bottles for my BFF’s on east coast I’m seeing next month!
Beautiful wine in a fantastic environment!!
Love to bring customers to DeLoach, I’ve got a suggestion:
For the Pic Nic experience would love to see the set up ready beforehand, seems like staff are a little bit behind schedule, great hospitality, great attitude.
I was there to pick up my JCB shipment. Personality, enthusiasm, and lack of energy really threw off my tasting experience. I was probably more excited to show off the wines to my two friends then the tasting room host was about talking about the wines.
We had a private wine tasting and it was a treat. The grounds are beautiful, the wines delicious and the whole experience delightful.
We were greeted by numerous people we decided to sit outside and Michael took care of us in the most informative wonderful way. We brought guess that have not ever been there and they were very impressed especially with your price point and the great taste of the wine
As members, we brought friends over from Napa to enjoy the wine and the beauty of the DeLoach Vineyards. We were not disappointed! Always a fun time to be at DeLoach!
While our "host" for our blending experience was very nice, she kept leaving us in the room on our own.
A delightful experience in every way. We had asked to focus our visit on DeLoach Chardonnays and the staff was most obliging and helpful. While we did not join the Club, we did go away with several bottles that would not be available in our Florida stores.
We just came to pick up a wine order and were treated to a complimentary tasting which included, along with a great selection of wines, a cheese board and crackers. We followed this with a stroll through the fantastic gardens and a visit to chickens and sheep. As we were leaving the gardener gave me three of the beautiful roses he had just cut for the dining room bouquets. Fantastic afternoon!! I
Great wine on great grounds with a great host. Beautiful place.
We were well received and the tasting was excellent.
Everyone who works at JCB is ALWAYS so hospitable, helpful, friendly, happy, nice, personable, respectful. We very much enjoy visiting, whenever we're in the area.
Knowledgeable staff and delicious wine made for a great experience for my sister's 50th birthday. It's nice to be surprised as a member after all these years. Thanks!
Pedro and Debbie were great hosts.
The wines are fantastic and it was interesting to compare Sonoma & France.
We had a good time, thanks.
Taste of France experience
We had Jeff at the special JCB wine tasting at 1pm it was great except at the end when we bought wine we did not receive all of the wine we purchased and we called them to let them know and they said we’ll get in contact with Jeff and still have yet to hear from them which is sad because we spent 2500 between the wines and the tasting and it’s sad to see them not follow through very disappointed
Group of 6 of us were greeted by Debbie. We sat outside and she provided us with water and sparkling wine while she gave us backround about DeLoach. We toured the garden and warehouse with the maniquins and chandelier. We finished the tour back with more wines. We asked for a sample of wine that was not on the tasting menu and were given it without hesitation. No pressure to join wine club.
Honestly we were expecting a much different experience for the taste of France tasting and the way everyone raves about JCB properties. It felt like an inconvenience to have a scheduled appointment at 1. The assigned staff person wasn't available and nobody else knew what to do with us. Nice wines just bad customer service.
