L’Ecole N° 41 is a second generation, family-owned artisan winery located in the historic Frenchtown School depicted on our label. Founded in 1983, we are the third oldest winery in the Walla Walla Valley. We have become one of the most prominent and visible Walla Walla Valley wineries with national and international distribution.

As a traditional brick and mortar winery, we are engaged in growing and making 100% of our wines. Our focus is on terroir-driven, distinctive, and expressive wines. This is achieved by our over thirty years of winemaking experience combined with dedicated, long-term relationships with some of the oldest and most proven vineyards in the Walla Walla and Columbia Valleys.

Today we are at the forefront of sustainable farming in the Walla Walla Valley, notably with our Estate Ferguson and Estate Seven Hills vineyards. All of our Walla Walla Valley wines are made from grapes sourced from vineyards which are certified sustainable and Salmon Safe. L’Ecole has garnered national and international accolades over the years for producing superior quality wines. One of which we are most proud, being honored thirteen consecutive years by Wine & Spirits Magazine as Winery of the Year, and becoming the second Washington winery inducted into its prestigious Hall of Fame.

I fell in love with L'Ecole No 41 on my first visit to the Walla Walla Valley on a girl's getaway. This year I brought my husband to share in the experience. We opted for the walking tour. Alyson was awesome! Knowledgeable and bubbly, she seamlessly paired the history of L'Ecole No 41 with the process of wine making. The wines are exceptional and the history is rich. You must visit here!

My wife and I scheduled the walking tour this past weekend. Much to our surprise, we were the only two for the tour, which was absolutely awesome! Of course, we would have enjoyed others being a part of the tour, but getting the individual time with the tour guide was amazing. She was stunningly smart and informative. We learned more than we imagined. Will recommend to everyone!

It's a lovely tour and we learned much about the process of winemaking and the history of L'Ecole. We went with another couplel. The wine is great and we ended up purchasing for friends as well, for shipment later in the season!

Enjoyed the personal tour and was pleased we were able to see the grapes being harvested. Purchased 2 bottles of wine to enjoy at home.

We arrived to find ourselves part of a large group led around by a young and inarticulate guide. Different wines were poured into the same glass as we went from room to room. I prefer tasting several wines side by side with time and space to compare and appreciate them. At L’Ecole I felt as if I was at Disney, Walla Walla. Very touristy!

Great tour..very knowledgeable and patient with our limitless questions. We were never rushed and always allowed to finish tastings before the next pour. One of best tour experiences we have ever had.

What a great experience! Not only was the wine spectacular, but the gentleman giving the tour was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. It was interesting to learn about the history of the school house/architecture as well as see the oak barrels and where the wine is stored. Well worth the money!

Ben, our tour leader, was a natural and knowledgeable guide--it is clear that he loves his job and his enthusiasm is contagious. We can highly recommend the Reserve Tour & Tasting and we loved the schoolhouse. The quality of the wines exceeded our expectations (there will be a lovely package from L'Ecole arriving on our doorstep this fall--yay!) .

Our host, Ben was outstanding in hospitality. We received several acknowledgments to out appointment and he took us through the Walking tour. The hospitality, wine and setting were all excellent. We especially liked the Apogée from Pepper Bridge Vineyard.

We had an amazing experience at L'Ecole No 41! It was our first stop on our Walla Walla tour and a great introduction to wines in the area. Chris was our tourguide and was incredibly knowledgeable. He answered all our questions and shared great info about the history of the winery and the area. We would say this is a must stop when exploring Washington wine country.
