Since 2006 Furthermore Wines has been conducting a study of California Coastal Pinot Noir. Our winery is located on our Graton Ridge estate vineyard in the Russian River Valley but we also have our Nevina's Vineyard estate vineyard in the Sonoma Coast AVA (Occidental) and partner with amazing growers in Santa Lucia Highlands and Sta. Rita Hills to create a portfolio each vintage that is truly representative of the great California growing regions.
We would like to invite you to come and spend some time with us tasting through single vineyard designate Pinot Noir verticals per AVA and meet our leaders...
It all starts in the vineyard, Scott Zeller - our vineyard manager farms 7 vineyards for Furthermore in Sonoma County. Scott is considered by most to be the pioneer of Pinot Noir on the Sonoma Coast due to his famed Summa Vineyard which dates back to 1981.
Our Head Winemaker Erica Stancliff is rapidly being acknowledged as an up and comer to watch. Erica grew up down the road in Forestville where her mom worked for Paul Hobbs. At the age of 12 Paul identified Erica as being a super taster and started training her as a winemaker. She eventually went off to study enology and viticulture at Fresno state. She has worked around the world but since 2016 she returned home to lead up winemaking for Furthermore.
