From our beautifully appointed Patz & Hall Salon to our friendly tasting bar and elegant member-exclusive Reserve Room, our Sonoma House embodies the essence of wine country hospitality. It is also an inviting home base where friends and wine lovers gather to share their passion for Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
In the Salon, our seated, private tastings include six Chardonnay and Pinot Noir single-vineyard-designate wines, paired with locally sourced gourmet food complements to enhance your tasting experience. The Salon experience ($60 per person) lasts approximately 90 minutes, and can accommodate up to 6 guests per tasting.
For a more casual wine tasting experience, we also offer seated tastings on the hour at our inviting bar ($30 per person) Thursday through Monday from 10am-4pm. So that we may provide you with the best possible experience, reservations are required. For groups larger than six, please call us directly to schedule your appointment.
Whether you’re savoring the luxury of our Salon, or sampling our new releases at the tasting bar, you’re invited to relax with a glass of wine on the patio, where you can take in the beauty of the vine rows that lead off towards the Mayacamas Mountains.
Salon reservations are held in advance by credit card, and if possible, we prefer to speak directly with our guests when making reservations to ensure their utmost satisfaction.
Arrive to a very kind greeting. We were escorted to a private table and did not wait long before our VIP Hospitality manager, Dan introduced himself. Dan was very knowledgeable and more impressively remembered all of our names. The wines were amazing. We also took a brief tour of the grounds. We will visit again when we are in the area.
Great experience, fantastic wines, friendly and knowledgeable staff, and soul warming ambience!
The entire staff at Patz and Hall are gracious, knowledgeable, and so hospitable. I always love coming to Patz and Hall because the setting is exquisite, the wines superb, and I am always made to feel warmly welcomed.
Everyone is so friendly and the wines are delish!
Such a great place to go and relax with a nice glass of Pinot.
Chase did a great job, my friends were blown away with the experience! It was the highlight of a already great day wine tasting and dinning. Thanks! Lonnie
Warm greeting and wine in hand right away! Beautiful set up in the private room lined with history of the growers. The wines were excellent and the food was paired perfectly. I enjoyed having my wine waiting for me at the front so I didn't have to lug it around.
Superb hospitality by the hostess that serves me at the tasting bar.
Dan was very knowledgeable and very helpful. He was the reason we joined the Cellar Pass.
My mother in law was visiting out to town, so I decided to have a girls day out in Sonoma. I'd make sure that Patz & Hall is one of our stops in Sonoma. Patz & Hall never disappoints! My mother in law loved her visit and enjoyed her time tasting the wine. She particularly loved speaking to Michele who was an amazing host! Thank you for making me look great!
Chase took really good care of us. We had a wonderful visit.
Shelly provided a great introduction to the winery and to the wines. The tasting experience with food pairing was memorable and educational.
Very nice. The Sonoma House/grounds are beautiful.- nice upgrade from your prior location. Host hospitable and knowledgable, food complementary.
We joined last year and this was our first time doing the food / wine pairing. It was very nicely set up and our host was great. The wines there are fantastic. We were a little worried that the time was a little soon after lunch, but the bites were very small - perfect for just pairing a taste with a wine.
Our host was knowledgeable, friendly and very easy-going.
What a fantastic experience. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we were treated with the highest customer service. Shelley's local knowledge and pleasant deamonor complemented the excellent wine selection. My only regret is that as an overseas visitor it may be a while before we can return!! Platz and Hall are a stand out in the wine community in Sonoma :)
Incredible experience. Delicious wines paired with amazing appetizers!
Fun time for all
The fireplace was going and ambiance was perfect. Our server had the sweetest way about her, we loved it!
We had the Salon Experience and it was amazing. Chase was outstanding and did an excellent job of educating us during the tasting. Very informative, very professional! I would highly recommend.
Simply one of the best winery experience! Everyone was very hospitable and friendly. From the welcoming from Steven upfront to Michelle greeting us into the tasting, we felt so welcomed and a part of their Patz & Hall family. Shout out to Chase as well- he's such a great person and knowledgeable of their wines.
it was great
wine great, Michele was an excellent host, food pairing was outstanding, the space was very nice
Very comfortable atmosphere with excellent wines and food pairings. Michael was extremely knowledgable and informative.
Chris was amazing! Very Knowledgeable, personable and fun to be around. He catered to us and we really appreciated his conversation and knowledge.
I would highly recommend this winery for their wines and wonderful tasting experience.
We had booked the Salon Tasting, and it was absolutely wonderful. We were so well taken care of, the wines were excellent and the accompanying bits of food were magical! A memory for life!
Great Hospitality. Michelle was very kind and took great care of us.
Beautiful grounds, relaxed atmosphere. The staff was very knowledgeable and took very good care of us. Excellent wine, pricey, but well worth the money!
Steven greeted us warmly, as always! Dan did a fine job of sharing some delightful wines with us. And, it was so nice to chat with Chase.
Our visits to Patz $ Hall have always been great. Too bad that we can't purchase a bottle of wine to enjoy with our friends. Perhaps you can limit it to one bottle per visit to avoid drunken behavior.
Dan was our Host and he was great. Definitely one of the more knowledgably wine educators in the valley. He knows his stuff without coming across as a know it all. Also knew when to just be social. Dan was really engaging with us and wanted to know our thoughts on the wines. Will recommend the wines and this experience with everyone.
Excellent experience tasting at Patz & Hall - a beautiful tasting environment. It feels like you are in someone's home versus a tasting room. Just lovely!
This amazing home is now a top flight winery. We enjoyed fabulous pinot noirs with dynamic food pairings. Michael guided us through the wines and related the history of each vineyard. We were most impressed.
Some of the very best Pinot Noir in the valley. Lovely service, spectacular property.
We loved the generosity of the tasting and the fancy appetizers paired with the wines !
Outstanding ambiance and friendly professional service.
Oh yeah, the wines are pretty good too.
Beautiful setting. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Nice wines.
Our Salon tasting/pairing experience was terrific! We were seated in the gorgeous dining room of the stunning home with a table full of crystal stems and plates of exceptionally tasty bites from a local caterer. The six+ wines we tasted were outstanding. Our single comment would be that while our host, Chase, was personable, he was possibly not as knowledgable or dynamic as we might have enjoyed.
It was a rainy Saturday but we had an amazing tasting with beautiful views.
In comparison to our experiences at other places, this was fine. Nothing to complain about, but nothing so great.
Our host, Chase was very pleasant and knowledgeable.
** answer choices for who I would recommend this to were silly/not that helpful.
